About Me

In addition to my private practice, I am faculty and co-director of a training clinic at William James College.

Education

I earned my B.A. in psychology from Vassar College and my M.A. and Ph.D. in Child Clinical Psychology from the University of Denver. During my time in Denver, I trained at the Children's Hospital of Colorado where I performed brief and short-term psychological consultations for children and families in a primary care clinic and provided outpatient individual and family therapy to children, adolescents and their families.

Training

I completed my pre-doctoral internship at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) where I received training in intervention, assessment, and consultation across a variety of rotations including a pediatric primary care clinic in a medically underserved area, neonatal follow-up clinic, the sleep center, the Center for Autism Research, and the Center for Management of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.

Finally, I completed my formal clinical training as a post-doctoral fellow at the Kennedy Krieger Institute/Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. As a postdoctoral clinician, I provided brief, time-limited outpatient therapy to families with children aged 2-12 years old presenting with disruptive behavior problems and mild comorbid difficulties including noncompliance, physical aggression, temper tantrums, poor impulse control, disruptive behaviors, bedtime/sleep problems, toileting difficulties, fears/phobias and social skills deficits.

Professional Experience

Outside of my small private practice, I am an Assistant Professor at William James College (WJC) where I serve as core faculty for the Child and Adolescent concentration and Health Psychology concentration. I also Co-Direct the Youth and Family Psychotherapy Services, a training site for advanced doctoral students at WJC. In my role as co-director, I oversee clinical program development as well as train and supervise doctoral students.
